$4,000,000 to assist Cleveland area school districts
COLUMBUS- State Rep. Sandra Williams (D-Cleveland) today announced that funding in the amount of $4,000,000 has been awarded to the Cuyahoga County Education Service Center for the purpose of assisting assigned school districts on behalf of the Ohio Department of Education.
“I am pleased to see that the state recognizes the need to invest in finding better ways to assess Ohio teachers,” said Rep. Williams. “It is critical that our state remains efficient and effective in how we evaluate teachers, because good teachers make for successful students.”
The focus of the assistance is to implement various programs by providing technical assistance, training and developing procedures for teacher certification, and licensure developing assessment and achievement tool kits for existing and new programs that are in compliance with the law.
