Affordable Healthcare

Over 1.2 million Ohioans lack health coverage. Rising health care costs continue to put a financial strain on families across this great nation. I am committed to quality health care for all residents.

As your next state representative, I will propose important legislation that will increase the availability of comprehensive health insurance coverage for Ohio's uninsured workers and their families.

My first plan "Ohio Healthy Plan"? will provide employers more affordable health insurance; promote access to quality health care by providing comprehensive health insurance to those citizens who need it most. The plan will be designed to assist small business owners in providing their employees and their employee's families with the health insurance they need and deserve. In addition, uninsured sole proprietors and workers whose employers do not provide health insurance may also purchase comprehensive coverage directly through the plan.

I also propose a "Healthy Citizens Plus?" public health insurance program for adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who do not have health insurance — either on their own or through their employers. This plan would be available to single adults, couples without children, and parents with limited income who are residents of Ohio and are United States citizens.
